What the consultation actually is.

The doctor examines your skin.

In person, at the clinic, in proper light. Your skin type and the pattern of the pigment both change what can be used, and neither reads accurately off a photo.

You are told what is causing it.

Melasma, sun damage and post-acne marks look alike and need different treatment. Naming the right one is most of the work.

You get a staged plan.

What to do first, what to leave alone, and what a realistic result looks like. Scarring and pigmentation are improved rather than erased, and you will hear that from us before you start.

Why it is done in person.

The wrong laser setting can darken pigmentation instead of clearing it. That is the whole reason skin type gets assessed in the room rather than from a photo or a form, and the reason this clinic starts with an assessment rather than a treatment.

The clinic practises conservatively. If waiting is the better call, or if no treatment is the right answer for you, you will be told that in the consultation rather than sold something anyway.
