PDO Threads & Threadlifting

A Safe, Effective Treatment for Spider and Varicose Veins

Overview

PDO Threads & Threadlifts are the hottest new aesthetic therapy on the market today.
A Threadlift is a type of clinic-based aesthetic procedure that involves the use of dissolvable sutures to produce lift, volumizing, smoothing and/or tightening of the skin, wherever it is needed. Polydioxanone (PDO) Threads induce production of collagen, creating a tightening effect lasting 12–18 months and even beyond.
Shorter ‘mono’ threads stimulate collagen, whereas longer threads can create ‘lift’, hence why we call our course PDO Threads & Threadlifting.
However, even these terms are rapidly becoming redundant, as threads become increasingly specialized to certain requirements and more and more threads become available on the market. For example, as well as ‘short’ and ‘long’ threads, we now have threads to create volume, enhance nose shape and even reduce cellulite!
In partnership with Avaderm Medical, Dr Furella Aesthetics provides a comprehensive workshop that teaches students all aspects of threads. As with our other courses, Threads & Threadlifting involves a theory module and quiz, followed by a two-day practical workshop, where students will be putting their theory into practice on live models.
